"Mcrobo" multi-team meeting in the RIC
On 6th of March 2019, the "McROBO" multi-team consisting of apprentices from Wacker Neuson and BRP-Rotax met to discuss the common project.
The RIC (Regional Innovation Center), together with the BRP-Rotax training workshop, organized an exciting morning for the "McROBO" multiteam.
At the beginning, the multiteam was able to demonstrate their abilities in 3D printers, lasers and collaborative robots in a short workshop led by Mr. Alexander Rak (apprentice instructor BRP-ROTAX).
Subsequently, the entire multiteam made a company tour of the BRP-Rotax, as well as the BRP-Rotax training workshop.
The McROBO project uses this joy of experimentation to introduce children and adolescents to science and technology and to playfully introduce them to topics such as robotics, digitization, virtual reality and the world of work in the 21st century. The aim of the project McROBO is to discover and promote talents and to establish long-term contacts with schools / youth / parents.
In addition to the consortium leader RIC, the consortium consists of three strong business partners - BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG, Otelo Open Technology Laboratory Vorchdorf and Wacker Neuson Linz GmbH - as experienced scientific partners are on board the Ars Electronica Center, the Johannes -Kepler University (Department of Diversity & Gender Management) and the University of Applied Sciences Wels. In addition, six educational institutions are actively involved: from elementary school through the New Middle Schools to Higher Education Institutions.
