„McROBO“ multi-team meeting in the Wacker Neuson in Hörsching
On May 17th, 2019 the “McRobo” multi- team consisting of apprentices from Wacker Neuson and BRP-Rotax met to exchange ideas about the common project.
The “McRobo” multi-team experienced an exciting forenoon on 17th of May in Wacker Neuson in Hörsching.
Under the command of Mrs. Sabrina Duschl (Wacker Neuson) we learned more about Wacker Neuson company with a tour and the “Compactdays” afterwards.
The project members drove excavator, worked with the VR-glasses on a virtual assembly line and experienced a fascinating lecture about digitalization.
The McROBO project uses this eagerness to experiment to bring kids and teenagers closer to science and technology and introduces topics such as robotics, digitization, virtual reality and the world of work in the 21st century trough play. The aim from “McRobo” is to discover and to promote talents and to establish long- term contacts with schools/youth/parents.
The consortium of the project represents besides of the consortium leader RIC three strong business partners – BRP – Rotax GmbH& Co KG, Otelo Open Technology Laboratory Vorchdorf and Wacker Neuson Linz GmbH – as experienced scientific partners on board the Ars Electronica Center, the Johannes-Kepler University (Departement of Diversity & Gender Management) and the University of Applied Sciences Wels. In addition, six educational institutions are actively involved: from elementary school through the New Middle Schools to Higher Education Institutions.
